I have worked in the tourism industry in Crested Butte, Colorado for over 16 years, have started and sold two successful businesses, held a management role with Vail Resorts in the lodging department for two years and am currently workin on my next business start-up in the Adventure Travel industry. Responsible for hiring, training and managing staff as well as managing the budget, setting rates, overseeing online visibility, handling guest complaints and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Granted the “Epic Service” award for outstanding customer service performance. Consistently received “Exceeds Expectations” in Goal Accomplishment reviews.

Created a niche market from the ground up specializing in concierge services, grocery delivery, gift baskets, Christmas decorating, luggage shipping, vacation planning, wedding planning and other desired vacation services. Managed all operations and financials. Consistently turned a minimum of a 60% Profit Margin on all services offered. Successfully sold and owner-financed a sizable sale after nearly 10 years in business.

Solely responsible for operations, marketing, financial statements, profit margins and continually returned a sustainable net profit year after year. Successfully sold for a six-figure profit after nine years in business.

Assisted guests with vacation services, restaurant/activity reservations and general hotel inquiries. Developed and fulfilled a new position of ‘Concierge Manager’ which entailed hiring, training and managing all concierges across three hotels of Crested Butte Mountain Resort as well as implementing a new commission program which generated revenue for the resort as a whole.
